Omar Romero is the Chief Development and Luxury Officer at Minor Hotels, a leading global hospitality group. Prior to joining Minor Hotels, Romero served as Chief Development Officer at Six Senses, where he led the global development team for over half his tenure. He has spearheaded the signing of over 50 Hotel Management Agreements and multiple branded residence projects throughout his career. In addition, Romero successfully navigated and contributed to strategic direction during three distinct ownership transitions involving Soneva Group, Pegasus Capital Advisors LP, and InterContinental Hotels Group. Romero holds a degree from the esteemed Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and Les Roches Hotel Management School. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a global perspective to his role at Minor Hotels.
